Scott E. Lindner
My best moments happen when I can listen to and help others. This extends from those in my local community to the global community. This desire to help has led me to become a Molecular Parasitologist focused on the transmission of malaria, a disease that even today impacts over 280 million people and kills over 600,000 every year. If there is something we can do about this, we should.
I'm very fortunate to lead a research team at Penn State that works to understand essential, targetable properties of malaria parasites so that we can disrupt their ability to transmit to/from mosquitoes.
You can find more details about me in my CV and about our team's work in our Publications section.
