Scott E. Lindner
My best moments happen when I can listen to and help others. This extends from those in my local community to the global community. This desire to help has led me to become a Molecular Parasitologist focused on the transmission of malaria, a disease that even today impacts 200 million people and kills over 400,000 every year. If there is something we can do about this, we should.
I'm very fortunate to lead a research team at Penn State that works to understand essential, targetable properties of malaria parasites so that we can disrupt their ability to transmit to/from mosquitoes.
You can find more details about me in my CV and about our team's work in our Publications section.
